Coronavirus and it's effect on society.

Well we now know I was a little off with my insane question, but it is happening now. Advocates of herd immunity through a vaccine is far better than herd immunity by way of the virus itself, this method will cause millions of people to die. What I cannot fathom is, how was Trump able to be cured of the virus in the first place? yet brazenly push the option of "herd immunity" as a viable option to attain a possible way to reach a cure. From what I've seen, no news media outlets have asked the question, was he really infected, or was it a huge lie by Trump, his medical entourage and White House officials? It's something for you all to ponder.

With the second wave over it appears a third wave in America and some other countries appears rampant again. Does this mean herd immunity is possible, yes it is possible but comes at a high cost to human life with no guarantee of success. Does this mean herd immunity has begun to take effect in international communities? I don’t know but I guess I will await the data. If herd immunity is producing antibodies in the international communities, then the chance of a lasting vaccine just went up 100%, although I highly doubt it. There isn't any data being supplied to credit the idea of herd immunity.

Too many times have I seen the appalling infection and death rates data from the USA which has the appearance of no end in sight. Compared to other countries around the world, the infection rate is skyrocketing, and why is the death rate so high? Well, you could say at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, the political will to shut the borders and impose quarantine restrictions in all states not just some, died a sad death. The POTUS knew about it back in January 2020 yet did nothing because he didn’t want to create a panic.

The will of many governments to curb this menace in our societies with the introduction of lockdowns and quarantine measures is apparently not reflected in the attitudes of much of the populace they serve. Should the State pay the bill if these ignorant citizens who self-induce by not wearing masks, practice no social distancing, and represent a higher risk of continuing the cycle of infection? I think not. China has one of the best identity surveillance technology systems in the world which if put into practice before the next serious viral outbreak, could identify flagrant abusers of non-masked, social distancing violations and be asked to foot the bill for their hospital stay and treatment.

An attitudinal change must start at the grass-roots level to build a better, stronger defensive way forward against a killer disease now, and in the future. "My rights are my rights" mentality in times of crisis must change to, how can I help my community, what must I do to enact attitude and physical change? It’s simple, stop using your rights as a means of disregard, be a responsible person of your community and stand up for the right to live. One thing is for sure, if we stay indignant and/or ignorant with a nonchalant attitude to what is happening, we run the risk of catching or passing this virus on to our loved ones who will suffer the possible consequences of our actions.

Let’s get real, wear your damn mask, practice social distancing, be responsible, and stop blaming someone else for your stupidity. Your ignorance hinders everyone and your disregard for human life is despicable, and remember, you’re not trying to protect yourself from other people, you are protecting other people from you!
